Erdoğan demonstration in Cologne banned

According to Mayor Henriette Reker, a mass event scheduled for tomorrow in Cologne on occasion of the mosque opening by Turkish President Erdogan cannot take place.

At the opening of the DITIB Central Mosque in Cologne with the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Saturday, the planned outdoor event may not take place according to the city. The mayor of Cologne, Henriette Reker, said on Friday evening at a press conference that the Turkish-Islamic Union DITIB presented no adequate security concept. They tried until the last minute to find a solution.”

The opening ceremony with Erdoğan will take place with 500 invited guests.
