German court brings KON-MED chair to trial on Erdoğan's order

KON-MED co-chair Tahir Köçer will be tried at the Hannover Administrative Court tomorrow to please Turkish President Erdoğan.

The German state is carrying out a criminalizing policy against the Kurdish freedom movement.

The new chapter of this policy is that of co-chair of the German Confederation of Kurdistan Communities (KON-MED) Tahir Köçer.

Köçer will appear before the judge as a result of an application issued by the Turkish Ministry of Justice to Germany.

German security units have translated the social media posts and correspondence written by Köçer to build a case for insulting the Turkish president.

Speaking before the trial, Köçer said: “Erdoğan demands the implementation of sanctions to prevent my work from Germany."

Confirming that he will attend the hearing tomorrow, Köçer continued: "I will not say much at the hearing, because I will convey that Erdoğan should actually be in this court. Erdoğan is already known by the world public opinion. I will state that Erdoğan is an occupying fascist dictator who ordered the genocide of Kurds."

Recalling that he had to go abroad because of the struggle he was carrying on while in Turkey, KON-MED co-chair said: "It seems that here also we are being targeted for our political struggle."

Stating that the opening of lawsuits in Germany at the request of Erdoğan was a dangerous issue when it comes to German law, Köçer said: "If the German judiciary used its own law in some relations of interest, this would be a very dangerous situation. It would appear that German courts, such as in Turkey, are actually serving Erdoğan's interests."
