An explosion has occurred in the village of Nehri, in the Þemdinli district of Hakkari while a civilian vehicle was passing by yesterday.

The driver, Ercan Er, and passenger, Resul Yýlmaz, were injured in the explosion. The two were taken to the hospital by bystanders. It is said that Er's condition is not serious.

Following the explosion, a military operation began in the area.
