According to initial reports, three soldiers were wounded in the explosion in the rural area of Altýnova (Vartinis) town in Korkut district of Muþ.

While the explosion occurred during the passing of soldiers who launched an operation at around 07.30 this morning in the rurals of Altýnova town, a specialist sergeant and two soldiers, names Ertuðrul Koçer, Turgay Kocatepe and Hasan Tüzün, were taken to Muþ State Hospital. Visiting wounded soldiers at the hospital, Muþ Governor Ali Çýnar stated that the soldiers didn’t face a life-threatening situation.

An operation was launched in the region after the attack.
