Families in Esenyurt: Vigil to continue until demands are met

The action in support of the hunger strike resistance promoted in Esenyurt Square by the families of prisoners on hunger strike continued despite the police harassment.

The families of prisoners on hunger strike demanding the end of isolation against Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan said they will continue their vigil in Esenyurt until the prisoners’ demand is met.

The families met in front of HDP provincial building and then walked to Esenyurt Square.

Police teams surrounded the families for a short time and insisted that the action was forbidden. The families replied that they would be holding the vigil until the demands are met.

The families returned to the HDP building and vowed to come to the square again today.
