Families of abducted teachers ask IHD to negotiate release

The families of teachers abducted by the People's Defense Forces (HPG) applied to the Human Rights Association (ÝHD) asking for assistance in negotiating the release of their relatives.

Vesile Savaþ, wife of abducted teacher Remzi Savaþ, called on the HPG to release her husband alive and on the government to avoid any action which might endanger her husband's life. Savaþ applied to the ÝHD Diyarbakýr Branch, asking for help.

Before her, Metin Gözbaþý, father of Mehmet Gözbaþý, another teacher abducted seven days ago from his home in the Baharlar Village of Lice (Diyarbakýr), applied to the Human Rights Association (ÝHD) Diyarbakýr Branch asking for help.

The families are expected to hold a press conference in the ÝHD Diyarbakýr Branch in the upcoming days.

Teachers Trade Union Eðitim Sen Hakkari Branch asked the HPG to free their abducted fellow workers during a meeting with the ÝHD Hakkari Branch.
