Clashes between YPG /YPJ forces and ISIS gangs intensely attacking the Kobanê town of West Kurdistan are continuing on the 19th day.

Fighters of the YPG-YPJ (People's / Women's Protection Units) along with the people of Kobanê are continuing to resist to the intensified attacks on the southern, western and eastern fronts.

Clashes re-erupted early Friday morning as gangs have launched a new wave of heavy attacks at all three fronts.

The gangs are continuing to open mortar and katyusha fire on Kobanê centre from their positions around the town.

In the meantime, violent clashes are taking place on the Meştenûr hill held by YPG, to the east of Kobanê, on which the gangs started to launch intensified heavy-weapon attacks after suffering heavy losses in clashes with YPG / YPJ fighters since yesterday. Clashes here are reported to be getting heavier.

The fighting between Protection Units and ISIS gangs intensified yesterday around the Newroz hall in south Kobanê where YPG forces strongly resisted and halted the advance of the gangs attacking with tanks and heavy artillery. A large number of gang members were killed in clashes in this area.
