Fighting between Iranian troops and Kurdish PJAK guerrilla on the border with Federal Kurdistan Region is still going on according to local sources. In the past 48 hours a heavy number of losses have been reported on the Iranian side, while PJAK (Party of Free Life of Kurdistan) has confirmed that seven of its guerrillas lost their life.
Iran has launched a large scale cross border operation against Kurdish guerrillas.
In the sixth meeting of Iraqi Parliament, the bombardment of the borders areas in Kurdistan from Iranian government was on the agenda.
According to Peyamner News, in this meeting, the chair of the Parliament made officer a defense committee, Security and foreign affairs with cooperation the defense ministry and foreign affairs to investigate about bombardment in the Kurdistan region.
Lane Mohammad said to Peyamner News : a delegation consisting of Defense commissions, security and Foreign affairs will be sent to the borders of Kurdistan region.
The clashes were fiercer in Katumani (where 40 soldiers are said to have been killed) and Berdenaze (where 15 soldiers died), two border regions on the eastern side of Mount Kandil, said a spokesman for PJAK.
A further 53 soldiers were killed in the night from Saturday to Sunday in Sardasht, a border town in Iranian Kurdistan, and Dola Koke, in the region of Kandil.
