The second round of voting for the first article of the Constitutional amendment proposal to lift parliamentary immunities for the deputies with dossiers has ended.
531 MPs attended the vote.
373 MPs voted for and 138 voted against the proposal while 8 MPs abstained from the vote and 9 voted blank. 3 votes were invalid.
As in the first round, the AKP MPs didn’t enter the booths to put their votes in envelopes.
RESULTS OF THE FIRST ROUND
In the first round of the vote, the first article had received 350 votes in favor and 148 against. 5 MPs had refrained from the vote, 27 votes were blank and 1 invalid. A total of 531 MPs had attended the vote.
The second article had received 357 votes in favor and 149 against. 6 MPs had refrained from the vote and 17 votes were blank. A total of 529 MPs had attended the vote.
HDP Group Deputy Chairperson İdris Baluken had said the vote wasn’t up to code, that “[AKP] forced an open vote.”
