Five people arrested in Iğdır
After house raids carried out by Turkish police in Iğdır, 7 people were taken into custody. 2 of them were released by the court and 5 people were formally arrested on the grounds of being members of an organisation.
Seven people were arrested in the town of Iğdır and in the Özgür neighbourhood 4 days ago. After being questioned by the police, they were sent to the prosecutor's office and from there to court. Savaş Özkan and Volkan Demir were released and 5 people, Hasan Koçuk, Mizgin Sevinç, Serkan Çakmak, Yavuz Çakmak and İlyas Sipan, were formally arrested on charges of 'membership of an organisation' and 'damaging public property' and sent to the Iğdır closed prison.
