Conflicting reports are coming through from Qamishli. The last news speaks of five people killed by Syrian forces at the funeral of prominent Kurdish politician Mish'al at-Tammo who was shot dead on Friday evening in Qamishli. At least 12 people are reported wounded. New information coming through say that one person is killed.

Fifty-thousand people attended the funeral of the politician.

Activists and residents at Qamishli said that gunmen had attacked the residence home in the city and shot at-Tammo dead before his corp was moved to Faraman private Hospital in Qamishli.

They also added that Mr Tammo's son, Marcel, is in intensive care and is suffering from fatal injuries as he was accompanied his father at the time the attack took place.
