Five out of seven people who were detained at 15 February rally in Doğubeyazıt district of Ağrı have been remanded in custody.

Seven people had been detained during the rally staged in the district on 15 February to mark the 16th anniversary of the international conspiracy against PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Following procedures at police headquarters, detainees were referred to Doğubeyazıt Courthouse. Two among them were released after giving a statement at the prosecutor's office while the other five who were referred to a local court were remanded in custody for allegedly “spreading propaganda for a terrorist organization”. They have been sent to Ağrı M Type Closed Prison.
