As part of the political police operation carried out by the Adana Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the Binevş Culture and Art Association with the allegation of "membership in a terrorist organization" and "acting on behalf of a terrorist organization", the police carried out house raids in Adana, Mardin, Mersin, Van and Amed on 27 June.
37 people were taken into custody during the raids in the Culture and Art Association offices and in many houses.
After 10 days, the members of Binevş Culture and Art Association, Ilyas Arzu, Ayşe Irmak, Mehmet Saruhan and Murat Gürbüz, were sent to prison after being referred to Adana 2nd Criminal Court of Peace by the prosecutor's office.
The remaining 33 people were released on condition of judicial control.
