People’s Defence Forces press office HPG-BIM  has reported that four Turkish soldiers were killed and many were wounded during the operations lasting for more than 20 days.

In a written statement about the operations in Dersim, HPG-BIM remarked that intense ambushes have been laid during the operations which still continue in Harcýk valley and Dereboyu, Cakýrkaya and “Martyr Akif” crests.

While the area is at the same time dropped bombs with cobra type helicopters, the operations, joined by five thousand soldiers, continue to expand, reported HPG-BIM.

One other military operation has been launched by the Turkish army following the identification control made by several HPG guerrillas at evening hours yesterday on Sýrnak-Siirt highway.

Leaving from Akcay Commando Brigade in the early morning hours, specially trained soldiers started to move towards Gabar, Çýrav and Herekol Mountains.

While Skorsky type helicopters carried specially trained commandos and soldiers with maroon berets along the night to Damlarca, Seslice, Alkemer and Yaðýzoymak regions by Gabar and Çýrav Mountains, units have been positioned at various points of major hills in the same region. (B.O.)
