Freedom is near in Rojava

Cities are being rebuilt in Rojava where Kurdish, Arab, Chechen, Armenian and Christian peoples are living and fighting together. The Rojava revolution which involves all groups with their otherness and distinctness - rather than the domination of the majority on minority or vice versa - is laying the foundations of a system to be a model to the entire Middle East region.

The Armenian deputy mayor of the Qamishlo city in western Kurdistan, Nubar Hagof, says Armenians in Syria have no problem with other peoples and beliefs and are ready to make every effort for the establishment of a transitional government in Rojava.

“Together with Arabs and Kurds, and especially the resistance of the YPG (People's Defense Units), we are all together trying to improve the Qamishlo city now. The peoples in Syria were deprived of everything, including financial, political and social means, and mainly peace, for over 40 years but the struggle of the peoples in Rojava and the incredible resistance of the YPG has today led us to the final phase of the freedom struggle”, Hagof said.

The Armenian deputy mayor remarked that the only thing left for them to do henceforwards would be to keep the struggle going by performing further works with municipalities and civil society organizations. “This is why we take part in the Rojava Constituent Assembly for Transitional Government", he underlined.

Hagof stressed that those who will stay out of this unity in Rojava would be doomed to extinction in the face of the attacks aiming to destroy them.

Defending that to unite is the only way to lead peoples to victory, Hagof underlined that Armenians in Syria were ready to make every effort for the unity of peoples and the establishment of a transitional government in Rojava.
