As part of the international campaign demanding freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and a political solution to the Kurdish question, the Democratic Regions Party (DBP) and the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) Amed Provincial Organization met with people in the Isepar neighborhood of the Bismil district to carry out an event titled ‘Freedom Readings’.

As part of the event, sections of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan's defenses were read loud. Current political developments were also discussed and ideas were exchanged during the reading event.

The "Freedom Readings" event will continue in many neighborhoods of the city.
