French journalist wounded in Mosul couldn’t be saved

Journalist and French citizen Sephane Villeneuve was wounded in an explosion yesterday in Mosul and has lost his life today.

Stephane Villeneuve was wounded in an explosion yesterday as he was following the operations against ISIS in Mosul. Villeneuve was one of the 3 French-national journalists in the area.

Kurdish journalist and interpreter Bakhtiyar Haddad lost his life in the explosion in Old Mosul yesterday while they were following events and 3 journalists of French origin were wounded. Haddad's body and the wounded journalists were taken to the US base in Qayyara later on.

One of the journalists under treatment there was Stephane Villeneuve, who lost his life today. Treatment for two other French journalists continue.
