French Senator Pascal Savoldelli protested the attempt to usurp the will of the citizens of Van by not granting a certificate of election to Abdullah Zeydan, who won on Sunday.
A protest to the usurpation of the restoration of the civil rights of Abdullah Zeydan, who was elected as the co-mayor of the Van Metropolitan Municipality from the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM), was issued by French Senator Pascal Savoldelli.
Savoldelli said: "In Turkey, Erdoğan is trying to usurp democracy and the victory of the people. After his crushing defeat in the local elections, the government dismissed the progressive Abdullah Zeydan, who was elected co-mayor of Van. France must take action."
