Fridays for Future - Heilbronn demonstrates for Rojava

The local group of the climate movement Fridays for Future in Heilbronn called for solidarity with Rojava at its weekly demonstration.

The Heilbronn branch of the climate movement "Fridays for Future" took to the streets for solidarity with the people of Rojava today as part of its weekly demonstration. On 9 October Turkey, a member of NATO, launched a an invasion operation against the self-governing territories of Northern and Eastern Syria together with its jihadist allies. Since then, hundreds of civilians have died and nearly 300,000 have fled.

The activists of FFF-Heilbronn walked silently through the city behind two front banners with the inscription "From Rojava to Heilbronn - Fight the Destructive Modernity" and “Hands off Rojava,child murderer Erdoğan”.

The activists emphasized above all the global dimension of the ecological movement. Some participants were carrying signs with pictures of the war crimes committed by the occupation troops in northern and eastern Syria, while others displayed flags of the People's and Women's Defense Units YPG/YPJ. Members of the Kurdish Community Center also took part in the demonstration.
