From Oslo to Munich thousands protested the Turkish invasion

The occupation attacks carried out by the Turkish state against North East Syria were protested by thousands in Europe.

Demonstrations against the occupation carried out by the Turkish state against Northern and Eastern Syria were protested in Graz, Oslo, Copenhagen, Audincourt, Erfurt, Dresden and Munich.

OSLO

A demonstration was held in Oslo where some provocation attempts were made by a fascist mob to disrupt the crowd that had gathered in front of the Turkish Consulate.

COPENHAGEN

A rally was organised in Copenhagen with the slogan 'Get out of Rojava'. Thousands of people joined the demo in Vesterbro Torv square. From here, the crowd marching to the town square, chanting slogans.

Representatives of Enhedslisten, Socialistisk Folkeparty, Alternativet, Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, Global Aktion, 3F (trade union) and Rojava Alliancen addressed the crowd condemning the attacks against Rojava and the Kurdish people.

GRAZ

An action was held in Herrengasse in Graz, Austria.

Co-chair of the Austrian Civaka Azad, Halis Sever, addressed the crowd saying that the resistance of the Kurdish people would frustrate any attack.

AUDINCOURT

The massacre and the invasion of Kurdistan carried out by the Turkish state and its mercenaries were condemned by an action supported by the municipality and Rojava Solidarity Committee in Audincourt, France.

A statement was read in front of city hall to remind that Kurds have given over 10 thousands martyrs in the fight against ISIS. 

Gerard Delavelle spoke on behalf of the Rojava Committee and said that "the Kurdish people in Rojava have developed a model of self-administration based on gender equality, ecologist and participatory revolution."

Martial Bourquin, a senator from the Socialist Party, also joined the action, which was supported by Audincourt Mayor Marie Claude Gallard. In his speech, Bourquin said that the Kurds have developed a secular, democratic system against barbaric mercenaries like ISIS and its predecessor in the Middle East.

Martial Bourquin stated that the Turkish state attacked the Kurdish people and paved the way for the reactivation of jihadistgroups and pointed out that the struggle of the Kurdish people is for all humanity. 

ERFURT

A protest was organised in the city of Erfurt. The march began at the main train station and arrived in the city centre.

DRESDEN

In Dresden too a march was held organised by Uta Women's Assembly and Ciwanên Şoreşger. Die Linke and housands of internationalists and anti-fascists joined the march.

Activists were attacked by Nazi fans of Dinamo Dresden football team with Hitler salute. When the crowd responded, the police attacked. 

MUNICH

A march and rally were held in Munich. Thousands joined the demo condemning the invasion of Northern and Eastern Syria carried out by the Turkish state. 

STOCKHOLM

An action to protest the Turkish invasion of Northern and Eastern Syria carried out by the Turkish state was also held in Stockholm.
