GABB magazine goes bilingual
The ‘Birlik’ (Unity) magazine of GABB (Southeastern Anatolia Region Union of Municipalities) has been published in both Turkish and Kurdish for the first time in its ninth issue.
The three-month issue in Turkish and Kurdish consists of works and activities performed by 115 municipalities affiliated to the Union in the recent process. The changes in the planning of the region and the support given by municipalities to the victims of Van earthquakes were also handled and examined in the issue.
Diyarbakýr centered Southeastern Anatolia Region Union of Municipalities, chaired by Mayor Osman Baydemir, has published the first bilingual issue of the magazine, seven years after its notification to the Public Prosecutor in 2005.
