Turkish General Staff has released a written statement on Monday denying the allegations on the withdrawal of Turkish military forces from the Kurdish region and a decrease in the number of military units already based there.

The General Staff stated that the location and number of the units of Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) were arranged every year in accordance with the state of threat in the region. General Staff remarked that Turkish military forces, as much as needed, are already deployed in the region at present, ready to meet the demand when there is a need.
