A German activist named Felix spoke about the Rojava revolution by participating in a program on the TV channel ARD.
The program 'Panaroma' - broadcast every three weeks on German public television ARD - this week focused on the Rojava revolution.
An activist from Hamburg, who did not abandon Rojava despite the Turkish occupation attacks on 9 October and said his name was Felix, joined the program and spoke about the Rojava revolution.
Stating that he has been staying in Rojava for 1.5 years, Felix explained he has participated in many civil society projects, including organic / ecological production. "Now - he told German viewers - all of this is under attack by the Turkish state."
The 29-year-old Felix said he was now in Dêrik and added he would not leave Rojava. Stating that in Rojava people are able to freely do and implement what they believe in, Felix added: "It is possible to read about the revolution from books. But here I have had the opportunity to participate in the revolution I have learned about from books."
Noting that the region is facing an ethnic cleansing after the attacks of the Turkish state, the German activist said that the people of Dêrik are preparing to resist. "I know some people - said Felix - who have sent their children to join the resistance in other cities, but they prefer to stay here."
