German press policy for censorship on hunger strikes protested

Revolutionary youth organizations led by Tevgera Ciwanen Soresger and Young Struggle protested the silence in the German media regarding the indefinite non-alternating hunger strikes.

Revolutionary youth led by Tevgera Ciwanen Soresger and Young Struggle held a joint protest in Cologne, Germany. Many youth movements as well as the Defend Rojava platform for solidarity with Rojava supported the protest.

Youth activists gathered in front of the WDR, one of the biggest television networks in Germany, and protested the German media.

The youth said German media censors the indefinite non-alternating hunger strikes demanding an end to the isolation imposed upon Kurdish Peoples’ Leader Abdullah Ocalan and held the protest under the motto, “Let’s break the media censor, let’s show solidarity with Leyla Guven”.

The protesters called for support for Leyla Guven to end the isolation and added that protests will continue until the indefinite nonaltenating hunger strikes achieve results.
