Governor of Siirt bans actions for hunger strikes

The Turkish regime resorts to any means possible to prevent the expressions of solidarity with the massive hunger strike resistance.

The AKP regime continues to issue bans in one city after another in an attempt to restrain the Kurdish people’s massive resistance against the isolation regime executed against Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan in Imralı Island Prison.

The Governor of Siirt province issued a ban on any and all activities and events related with the hunger strike actions. The decision, made upon the request of the Police Directorate of Siirt, referred to the isolation regime imposed on Öcalan as “so-called isolation”, and demonstrations in solidarity with hunger strikes as “so-called support”.

According to the related decision, the ban will remain in effect till the 23rd of May.
