Green Left Party Amed candidates say the one-man regime will fall

Green Left Party Amed candidates Sevilay Çelenk and Halide Türkoğlu said they would win against the AKP-MHP government.

Green Left Party Amed deputy candidates Sevilay Çelenk and Halide Türkoğlu spoke to ANF about the electoral campaign.

The two candidates said that the campaign was exciting, beautiful and colourful. Çelenk said: “We have election office openings until the night. There is great enthusiasm at every opening. Provincial organizations are working, meetings are being organized, we have opened many offices. Everyone participates voluntarily. Everyone says that the really critical choice, the choice of fate. This is especially true for the Kurdish people. The rights of the Kurds have been usurped so much that they will reflect their experiences at the ballot box in a democratic way. We will win this election and rebuild life."

Türkoğlu: We will bring about change

Halide Türkoğlu said that the people's courage, hope and expectation are very high, and added: “We attend office openings. The expectations of shopkeepers are very high. They tell us that the knife has reached the bone. They want us to get rid of the one-man regime. We are trying to achieve this by organizing more.”

The candidate underlined that “young people want to live a better life and a free future. Women want the country to be run democratically and equally. We had meetings with people of different identities and beliefs. We will bring about change for women, young people, Kurds, Alevis, different cultures and identities.”
