Hakkari MP Demirtaþ: We are trying to avoid end of ceasefire

Evaluating the cancellation of Hatip Dicle's membership by the Supreme Election Board, BDP former Co-Chair and Hakkari Independent MP Selahattin Demirtaþ said; "The breaking of the ceasefire is a matter of time and therefore we are trying to give strong messages to prevent it."

According to the news of Milliyet journal, Selahattin Demirtas said the followings; "The state is being redesigned under the control of AKP which is trying to squelch all opposition on every hand it extends to and intending to suppress and cow the opposition by using all kinds of immoral means. And it makes the public believe that the government follows a democrat line. If our colleagues aren't released, this won't be judicial. The Hatip Dicle issue is thoroughly intangible."

WE ARE NOT EAGER TO ENTER THE PARLIAMENT

Referring to Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's message to give his blessing, Demirtas said; "The blessing doesn't include us. A new start was being mentioned before the elections but it has been ruined. We are not eager to enter the parliament but the solution will be found in the parliament. However, I think this insistence of us can't be understood. We are determined not to enter the parliament with one missing. We are aware of the obvious affront to Hatip Dicle. Who will give an account of 70 thousand voted given by the people of Diyarbakýr?

THE END OF THE CEASEFIRE IS A MATTER OF TIME

Demirtas also said that: "The process is progressing to the breaking of the ceasefire by the PKK. This is not a decision to be made by us as the cease fire was announced by the PKK, not by us. We know that the current discussions on the media are being followed by the PKK and we know the feeling of the PKK basis. The breaking of the cease fire is a matter of time. And blood will be poured if it is broken when it will no more have importance who the responsible is. Once the acts begin, we will become only dead bodies."

IF THE PARLIAMENT IS READY FOR BY-ELECTION, WE ARE READY AS WELL

Evaluating the by-election formula, Demirtas said; "The resignation of the deputies depends on the approval of the Assembly. If the Parliament is ready for a by-election, we are ready as well. This is also a formula. In other words, a by-election can be held when representation is dropped. But we could also resign without swearing. The majority opinion is for not swearing. The Prime Minister should not remain silent against the happenings as this will mean to be a party to the crime. In terms of a starting point of a solution, it is very critical that he makes a call and says that they repudiate the decision .

AN URGENT LEGAL REGULATION NEEDED

Demirtaþ made the following call; "An urgent legal regulation can ben made for Hatip Dicle and he can be released in the same way the Prime Minister had been released years ago to enter the parliament. This decision depends on the government and what the YSK can do is to suspense objection till the amendment of the concerning law."
