Halloween flash mob in Nuremberg: Terrorist Erdoğan

"Erdoğan is a terrorist" was the message of a Halloween flash mob in Nuremberg's inner city, which was directed against the Turkish war of aggression in Northern Syria.

On occasion of Halloween, activists in the German city of Nuremberg protested Turkish President Tayyip Erdoğan’s genocidal campaign against the Kurdish people and their lands, and the military offensive seeking to invade North and East Syria in violation of international law.

The activists with masks of “terrorist” Erdoğan attracted a lot of attention as they walked through the pedestrian zone.

They distributed flyers explaining why the Turkish President is rightly called a "terrorist" in their eyes:

"The fascist AKP regime began a war of aggression against the Democratic Confederation of Northern and Eastern Syria. With the support of Islamist militias, the Turkish army wants to destroy the grassroots democratic, feminist and ecological revolution there".

The demands highlighted on the flyers distributed to passers-by are:

- An immediate end to Turkey's war of aggression in Northern Syria!

- Stop all German arms deliveries to Turkey!

- No-fly zone over Rojava to prevent further air raids!

- No economic and military cooperation of Germany with Turkey!

An activist spoke to ANF on their action and said the following: "It is not enough to take to the streets again and again with demonstrations or rallies. Creative actions are needed to shake people up. The invasion of the Turkish army, in which German weapons are used among others, means looting, terror, expulsion and death. Everyone now knows that Erdoğan and the ISIS are cooperating. To call ISIS a terrorist organization and to shake hands with Erdoğan at the same time is hypocrisy. That's why we are on the road with the masks. We say: Erdoğan is a terrorist."
