Hanover, Kassel, Rennes and Athens united against trustees

Protests in Europe against the AKP-MHP seizure of the HDP-run municipalities of Amed, Van and Mardin continue.

People in Hanover, Kassel, Rennes and Athens protested the AKP-MHP seizure of the HDP-run municipalities of Amed, Van and Mardin.

HANOVER

In Hanover Kurds and their friends organised a protest in the city center against the appointment of trustees to the municipalities of Amed, Van and Mardin.

Ciwan Çewlig addressed the crowd after a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of freedom. "They cannot get anywhere with the trustees, - he said - we will always side with peace and freedom".

Germany Turkish Workers Federation (ATIF) also read a message to reiterate its struggle agains injustice.

DKTM Hannover co-chair Edlê Aslan called on people to support of the activists in Mardin, Van and Amed.

KASSEL

Kurds and their friends living in and around Kassel organized a march to protest the AKP-MHP regime and the Erdogan dictatorship. 

Activists marched to the front of Kassel metropolitan municipality.

RENNES

In Rennes members of Amara Democratic Kurdish Community Association and Zin Women's Association came together in Colombia Square to protest the seizure of municipalities.

The march ended in Republique Sqare with slogans and speeches.

ATHENS

The Vigil organised in Athens to protest the seizure of municipalities ended on Saturday, after eight days of constant action.

Greece North Kurdistan-Turkey Action Platform organized the Vigil in Syntagma Square which was attended by a large crowd during eight days.
