Hashd-i Turkmen Spokesman: We'll treat Turkish forces like we treat ISIS

Spokesperson of the Hashd-i Turkmen forces affiliated to Hashd al-Shaabi described the Turkish army as an invading force in Iraq, stating that they will treat Turkish forces like they treat ISIS in the event of an action.

Hashd-i Turkmen Spokesperson Ali al-Huseyni who is taking part in the anti-ISIS operations in Iraq's Nineweh city spoke to Tasnim News Agency on the Mosul operation and the latest situation on the ground.

Ali al-Huseyni stated that the city of Nineveh could be liberated within two weeks, and said the followings regarding the development in the operation to liberate Mosul:

"The military campaign to liberate Mosul has left six phases behind since it was launched. Iraqi military forces, police and all other security forces have taken part in these operations. Hashd al-Shaabi has taken charge of the western line where most violent clashes have taken place. Successive achievements have been made since the start of the campaign. ISIS are living their last days and we will announce the liberation of Nineveh within a few weeks."

Spokesperson of the Hashd-i Turkmen pointed out that the presence of the Turkish military in Iraq was illegal, saying; “Since the start of the operations, we have regarded all the military activities of the Turkish army in Iraq as an invasion, and we will treat them as invading forces. We will treat the Turkish forces as we treat the ISIS in the event that they act.”
