Peoples’ United Revolutionary Movement (HBDH) released a statement in which it claimed responsibility for the action that targeted a group of Turkish soldiers on move in Hatay’s Belen district countryside on October 3rd.

According to the statement, the vehicle tumbled down the cliff as a result of strikes which left 2 specialist sergeants and 2 high-ranking soldiers dead and 5 other soldiers wounded.

HBDH said that the action was carried out in memory of communist fighters Ozan Sökmen and Fırat Şeran who targeted a riot police shuttle in Adana and were later killed in a home in Eskişehir.

The statement continued; “Fascism is a mad rush and panic. The struggle of Turkey’s working class and oppressed peoples scares them, as well as the existence of our militia and our united revolutionary movement. They are afraid of the Rojava revolution and freedom of peoples. They are afraid of the action that targeted the police in Adana. They are afraid of factories and arsenals set on fire. Neither the chief fascist Erdoğan nor Soylu can ease their fears. The bombs and bullets rained on peoples have started to rain on fascism now and this will continue all of a sudden, when least expected. With this fear, all the police and special operations forces have been mobilized to massacre the fighters of MLKP and other HBDH constituents. They have accelerated their operations and mass arrests against revolutionaries.

The statement vowed that fascism will never get away with any massacre it has perpetrated.
