HBDH claimed responsibility for the action against the FITRAT-DER office in the Cebeci neighborhood of İstanbul’s Sultangazi district on the night of August 12.

In a written statement, Peoples’ United Revolutionary Movement (HBDH) stated that groups such as FITRAT-DER attempted to carry out massacres in Alevi neighborhoods during the so-called "democracy watch" events that were organized after the coup attempt on July 15.

HBDH noted that FITRAT-DER organized the provocative march towards Gazi neighborhood, a stronghold of resistance, and aimed to eliminate peoples and revolutionary groups here. HBDH described groups such as FITRAT-DER as the ammunition depot of the AKP-ISIS fascism, and would be met with the resistance of HBDH forces whenever they try to infiltrate peoples’ neighborhoods.
