The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Amed Provincial Organization will hold a rally on 6 August in Station Square with the slogan "No to Wars and Exploitation. We are the solution".

The party’s provincial co-chairs, Gülistan Atasoy and Zeyat Ceylan, held a press conference at the Yenişehir District Organization building.

HDP Provincial co-chair Zeyat Ceylan said that they expected a large participation in the rally and added: “The AKP-MHP government is not in power with the consent of the people. We are struggling under difficult and oppressive conditions. We can talk for hours about the injustice they have done to the Kurdish people, their friends and democratic politics. Our rally will be an answer."

Drawing attention to the isolation imposed on Kurdish people's leader Abdullah Öcalan, Ceylan said: "The AKP-MHP policy is a policy of isolation," and condemned the war policies carried out by the government who "tried to make the Kurds experience a second Lausanne."

Ceylan said: "The government is trying to win by attacking the Kurds and HDP. We never accept isolation, war, attacks, exploitation or plunder. We will always resist. Our gains belong to the democratic peoples, the HDP and Kurdish people. We will say 'no' to war and isolation together on 6 August."

HDP Amed Provincial co-chair Gülistan Atasoy also called for participation in the rally and said: "The war is not the war of the peoples, but the war of the AKP-MHP who want to maintain their power. We, the Kurdish people, are against a war that brings nothing but death to people. We will take to the streets again. We are holding a new rally."

Atasoy added: "We invite everyone who wants a new future against war and isolation to our rally to say 'We Are the Solution'."
