Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Amed Provincial Organization had organised a conference called "Hope and courage to organize, defeat fascism" which comes to an end today.
The conference is held at the Vedat Aydın Conference Hall in the provincial building of the party and see the participation of HDP deputies Musa Farisoğulları, Dersim Dağ and Remziye Tosun, among other peoples.
HDP Provincial co-chair Zeyyat Ceylan spoke about the news coming through this morning of the detention of Sur Municipality co-mayor Filiz Buluttekin. Ceylan said that the HDP and the people will never accept the seizure of their municipalities and the appointment of trustees.
Ceylan drew attention to the improtance of Kurdish national unity and said the Kurdish will has been affected by international forces for a hundred years, but the Kurds are still fighting.
Ceylan pointed out that there are many who would prefer to see the Kurdish people without status, but added that Kurds will be building national unity.
Referring to the isolation system imposed on Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the seizure of municipalities, Ceylan said: "Whatever they do, we will focus on our own agenda. We will destroy the isolation and defeat the trustee fascism."

Amed Bar Association: Buluttekin arrest is another illegal action
Amed Bar Association also commented on the arrest of Sur Municipality co-mayor Filiz Buluttekin.
"We do not accept these unlawful practices that ignore the will of the people. We demand the immediate release of the elected mayors in prison and their reinstatement", said the Bar Association in a statement.
"Nine months after the elections, 33 municipalities have been appointed trustees, democracy and the will of the people have been completely eliminated," added the statement.
