HDP Co-Chair Sancar calls on voters abroad to vote for the Green Left Party

HDP Co-Chair Mithat Sancar called on the voters abroad to vote for the Party of Greens and the Left Future (Green Left Party).

The Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) will contest the May 14 elections under the umbrella of the Green Left Party. HDP Co-Chair Mithat Sancar addressed the voters abroad, where voting has already started, and called on them to go to the polls.

In a video address published on HDP's official social media account, Sancar said: “Our people living abroad, I greet you all with love. Few days are left for Turkey's key elections. Voting abroad began on April 27. We are the second party that received the most votes abroad and we aim at being the first party in the elections with your support. However, electoral turnout abroad is unfortunately low. Only half of the voters go to the polls. We are all aware of how important each single vote is in these elections.”

‘WE WILL CHANGE TOGETHER’

Sancar continued: “Every single vote will enable us to be represented more in the parliament and to get rid of this oppressive one-man regime. You can vote at the nearest representative office until May 9 and at the customs stations until May 14. Voting dates vary from country to country. You can check these dates on the website of the Supreme Election Board (YSK) and the Green Left Party social media accounts. This historic responsibility falls to all our citizens who favour democracy. Let's go to the polls and vote for the Green Left. We're here to change it together. Dîsa em, disa serkeftin, we will win together.”
