Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Central Executive Committee released a statement harshly condemning the murder of Russian ambassador Andrei Karlov, and expressing their deepest sorrow. HDP extended their condolences to his family and to the people of Russia.

The statement by HDP said: "This political murder has also demonstrated that Turkey is unfortunately no longer a secure country due to the recent domestic and international policies.

Thus, shallow and manipulative inferences must be left aside and those responsible for this political murder, and its instigators and supporters must be promptly determined with a thorough investigation and all must be held accountable before justice."
