HDP deputy Piroğlu supported Flormar workers

HDP Istanbul deputy Musa Piroğlu supported Flormar workers in their action in front of Yves Rocher in Kadikoy Bahriye.

Flormar workers have been fired for being members of the unions and have been protesting in front of their former factory for 240 days.

Workers were prevented by the Gezbe district governor from lighting a fire to keep warm in front of the Yves Roche store, despite the low temperature. HDP deputy Musa Piroğlu call on the people of Kadikoy to support Flormar workers and boycott Yves Rocher brand products.

"The resistance at Flormar has reached the 240th day - Piroğlu told the crowd - Flormar, linked to French firm Yves Rocher, has fired 130 workers because they were in the union. Many of these workers are women. The governor has prevented workers from lighting a fire despite the temperature being below zero."

The HDP deputy reminded that workers in France are members of the union and said: "In Turkey if you are unionised you are fired. I called on the people of Kadikoy to boycott Flormar and Yves Rocher products."
