HDP, DTK and DBP meet with HAK-PAR

HDP, DTK and DBP met with HAK-PAR.

Within the framework of talks about a Kurdish electoral alliance and Kurdish national unity a delegation made up by HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party), DTK (Democratic Society Congress) and DBP (Democratic Regions Party) paid a visit to the HAK-PAR.

Martin Metropolitan Municipality co-chair, Ahmet Türk, in his statement before the meeting, talked of how there are policies to attack Kurds both in the Middle East and Turkey.

Emphasising first of all the need for a Kurdish national unity, Türk said: "We hope to widen the Kurdish unity as this will lead to a free life. Our aim is to create a unity of Kurdish and people of Kurdistan for a free and democratic life. A very important process is waiting for us ahead. Before this process, we have to work to reach a national unity. We need to widen our unity”.

HAK-PAR Chairman Refik Karakoç said that this meeting was to discuss the elections and the common work.

Karakoç added that “a Kurdish unity will actually mean the liberation of our country. National unity must be established and implemented through real policies. People’s liberation passes through unity”.

The HAK-PAR chair said that “if unity is carried out and implemented on the right basis, then it will be an ongoing process. After this, no one has the right to make mistakes”.

The meeting continued behind closed doors.
