HDP executives detained in Adana

The Turkish state continues its political genocide operations against the Kurdish and pro-Kurdish circles in which more raids are conducted and dozens of people are detained by police forces on daily basis.

The Turkish state continues its political genocide operations against the Kurdish and pro-Kurdish circles in which more raids are conducted and dozens of people are detained by police forces on daily basis. In addition to HDP and DBP executives and officials of DBP-run municipalities, journalists have now also become a target in the police operations. Many HDP executives have been detained in police raids in the southern province of Adana.

Police forces raided many houses after blockading the Ova, Uçak and Şakirpaşa neighbourhoods of Seyhan district with armoured vehicles this morning. A low flying helicopter also supported the police forces during the simultaneous raids.

Besides breaking the doors of the houses targeted in the raids, police also directed guns at the people in the houses after forcing them to lie down on the ground during the course of the operation.

A number of people including HDP executives and distributor of Azadiya Welat and Gündem dailies were detained in the operation and taken to Anti-Terror branch of Adana Police Headquarters.
