Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Hakkari Central District co-chair Hasak Özek, who was among the people detained in the house raid in Amed, Hakkari, Van and Adana on 12 August, was sent to prison by the Çukurca Criminal Judgeship of Peace.

Özek was arrested on charges of "aiding and abetting an illegal organization" and "being a member of an armed organization".
