Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Co-chair Serpil Kemalbay, Vice Co-chairs Saruhan Oluç and Sezai Temelli, Central Executive Committee members Beyza Üstün and Murat Mıhçı, deputies Celal Doğan, Erol Dora, Ertuğrul Kürkçü, Feleknas Uca, Mithat Sancar and Mardin Metropolitan Municipality Co-mayor Ahmet Türk were obstructed by the police from making a press statement in front of Kandıra Prison about the hearing of HDP's former co-chair Figen Yüksekdağ to be held in Ankara tomorrow. The delegation was blocked near the prison and not allowed to move on.
Condemning the obstruction, the HDP delegation went to Kartepe district of Kocaeli and joined the Justice March' which continues in its 19th day.
The HDP delegation met the marchers with carnations amid a turmoil as the police officers and riot police accompanying the CHP Leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu in the march prevented press members from covering the meeting. As the turmoil continued, the HDP delegation left the march after accompanying the CHP leader and participants for a while.
HDP members said they consider the 'Justice March' a positive step, and called on everyone to enhance the demand and struggle for justice.
