The Silopi Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) Province Organization will hold a regional rally in the district on 1 September, World Peace Day.

HDP co-chair, Mithat Sancar, will also attend the rally to be held in the Newroz area. HDP District Organization made a press statement regarding the rally. Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA) activists, HDP Provincial co-chair Sabuha Akdağ, Peace Mothers Council and the executives of the Association for Assistance, Solidarity and Culture with Families Losing Their Relatives in the Cradle of Civilizations (MEBYA-DER) participated in the statement.

Call to attend the rally

HDP Silopi Provincial co-chair Asuman Külter said that they will be on the streets to defend peace against war and added: "On the occasion of 1 September, World Peace Day, a mass rally will be held in Silopi with the slogan ‘Şer mirin e, aştî jiyan e’ (War is death, peace is life)'. The rally will be count with the participation of HDP co-chair Mithat Sancar. We invite all our people to defend peace against war and joined us in Silopi.”
