Headman killed, police officer seriously injured by ISIS in Kirkuk
A headman was killed, and a police officer was seriously injured as ISIS attacked Iraqi forces and a village in Kirkuk twice last night.
According to the information obtained from the Iraqi Federal Police, ISIS attacked the 2nd Division of the Federal Police in Bêtix village of Kirkuk last night (Aug. 22). A federal police officer was shot in the head and seriously injured.
ISIS also attacked the village of Hechil in the Riyaz district of Kirkuk, killing the headman of the village and kidnapping his son.
Security forces have launched an operation to trace the kidnapped local.
