FITR AND ZAKAT TO EASTERN KURDISTAN

The written statement issued by Heyva Sor said: “Offering a helping hand to people in need is on top of the humanitarian duties that must be remembered in Ramadan.

The recent heavy rains in Eastern Kurdistan have caused severe floods that affected almost all cities, towns and villages in Eastern Kurdistan. Many residential areas were covered in water and many people lost their lives. Hundreds of thousands of people were displaced and are in dire need of help. Let us fulfill our peoples’s expectations and hopes, and let us mend their wounds. Let us join together to fulfill our duties in Ramadan and extend our helping hands to our people in need. You can send your fitr and zakat to flooding victims in Eastern Kurdistan through Heyva Sor a Kurdistan.”

Charitable persons can send a minimum of 10 Euros of fitr and zakat to people in need through the Heyva Sor. Details on donations, the campaign and the account numbers to be used can be obtained from the Heyva Sor.

Last year’s Ramadan campaign had focused on people from Afrin who were displaced and forced to move to Shehba, as well as residents of Sur, Cizre, Silopi and Nusaybin whose homes were destroyed by the Turkish state. Heyva Sor a Kurdistan distributed a total of 260.000 Euros in aid in last year’s campaign.
