Heyva Sor pledges further support for Northern Kurdistan in 2017

Kurdish Red Crescent Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê held its 25th Congress in the German city of Essen with the participation of 100 delegates and many guests.
The opening speech of the congress was held by Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê President Dr. Rojvan Bilgin who stated that a larger part of their campaigns during the year of 2016 was dedicated to the people living in the cities and towns in Northern Kurdistan that were ruined by the Turkish state, while support for the people of Rojava, Shengal and Aleppo's Sheikh Maqsoud also continued.
Dr. Bilgin called attention to the situation in Cizîr, Şirnex, Silopiya, Sûr, Nisêbîn, Kerboran, Hezex, Gever and other similar areas under an ongoing attack and atrocity of the Turkish state. Bilgin stressed that they will continue to act with the same responsibility and to mobilize all their opportunities for the people of the region during 2017 as well. Bilgin put emphasis no the importance of the Sister Family Campaign, and called on everyone to ensure active participation in the campaign.
SARIYILDIZ: HEYVA SOR BECAME A HOPE
Speaking after, one of the guests in the conference, HDP Şırnak MP Faysal Sarıyıldız said Heyva Sor became a hope for the peoples of Kurdistan with the support it has provided so far, and extended his thanks for all the efforts of the institution.
Sarıyıldız drew attention to the challenging circumstances faced by the people who live in the areas that the Turkish state has devastated, saying that more support should be provided for the people living here.
Representatives of NAV-DEM, KOMAW and Êzidî Federation also spoke and put emphasis on the importance of Heyva Sor for the people of Kurdistan.
The Congress delegates expressed their thoughts and proposals for further efforts for 2017, and it was decided to continue the support for the people, especially those in Northern Kurdistan who are facing ongoing genocidal attacks.
The congress ended with the election of Heyva Sor a Kurdistanê Executive Board members.
