Historic Kurdish conference kicks off in Lausanne

An international conference is being held in Lausanne, to mark the 100th anniversary of the Treatry of Lausanne that sanctioned the division of Kurds into four countries. Parallel to the conference, a big march will be held today.

On the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Lausanne, which formed the basis for the genocidal attacks against the Kurds in the last century, a two-day conference and a central march and rally will take place today in the city of Lausanne.

The conference will be attended by over 600 guests who will discuss the Treaty of Lausanne and its consequences at the Beaulieu Congress Hall.

March and rally

The people of Kurdistan will gather at Place de la Navigation in Lausanne at 11.30 for the march and rally to be held in parallel with the conference.

Lausanne Committee member Yüksel Koç, KNK co-chair Zeynep Murad, PYD Politburo member Blese Cebar Ferman, PYD co-chair Asya Abdullah, Komela President Ibrahim Alizade, TJK-E Representative Şükran Sincar and artists Necmedin Xulami, Şivan Perwer, Çopî Fettah, Mizgîn Tahir, Nasir Rezardî will all attend the action.
