HPG Media center says no casualties among guerrillas
HPG (People's Defence Forces) Media Centre (HPG-BÝM) has released a detailed account of what has happened on 18-19 and 20 August, first two days of bombing by Turkish warplanes. The areas affected have been those of Xýnerê, Xakurkê, Kandil,Zagros, Gare, Haftanin, Metina and Zap.
In particular, in Xakurkê three different areas were targeted by the Turkish Army. Like in all areas the warplanes dropped bombs hitting villages. Many fires started as a result of the assaults.
The third day of air strikes was Saturday. Again the Turkish Army bombed areas inside the Kurdistan Federal Region in Northern Iraq. The Kurdish guerrillas reported no casualties among their ranks.
