HPG (People's Defense Forces) Press Office gave the following information in a statement on an action conducted by guerrillas in Hatay countryside yesterday:

“At 04:00 on February 14, Turkish army launched an operation in the rural areas of Hatay's Dörtyol district. In response to this action at the anniversary of the international conspiracy against our Leader, guerrillas carried out a retaliation action and hit a unit of the operational forces at 13:30, which left one soldier dead. Turkish jets shelled the area at random at 21:00 in the evening.”

HPG added that the guerrilla unit that carried out the action sustained no harm during the action.
