People’s Defense Forces (HPG) guerillas released four teachers who were detained in Lice and Hazro last week.

According to the information received, teachers were released at around 22.00 last night.

In a statement made yesterday, HPG Headquarters Command said that 12 abducted teachers would be released soon since they are not the target of the actions. HPG underlined that the abductions of teachers have to be interpreted as a warning to the Turkish state and government, noting that the action is carried out against state policies, not civilians.
