HPG released statement on capture soldiers

In a statement concerning two soldiers and one health worker who had been captured by the HPG (People's Defence Forces), HPG said; "The captured soldiers are part of a counter-alliance force putting pressure and guilty of torture against the people in Kurdistan." HPG reported that the weapons and documents belonging to the soldiers have been confiscated.

HPG sources have pointed out that this kind of events could happened with the aim of preventing attacks.

As reported by Diyarbakýr Governor Mustafa Toprak the car carrying a non commissioned officer, a special sergeant and a health official along the Diyarbakýr-Lice highway around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday had been stopped by HPG members. The soldiers are reportedly from the Lice 2nd Mechanized Brigade and the health official works at a hospital in Genç, Bingöl province.
